Roland Boal is a designer and creative leader with over eleven years experience in the consulting industry. He has a global perspective that allows him to run successful and innovative projects for clients all over the world. Working across many sectors of the design industry with service providers and manufactures, changing the futures of businesses, and creating rewarding experience for their customers. Roland is currently Lead Industrial Designer at Kohler in London.
Prior to joining Kohler, Roland was the Head of Priestmangoode Design China. As Head of Priestmangoode’s China office, Roland has been responsible for successfully increasing Priestmangoode’s presence in Asia, responsible also for the day-to-day running of a design studio and its clients, creating new business opportunities, providing creative and strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams, on both sides of the world, as well as inspiring discussion of wider design-related issues by writing about and giving talks on design, innovation and business. Roland also wrote a regular column on design and designing in China for design industry website Core 77.
He started off his career at Tangerine. There, Roland was responsible for creative design, project management, internal and external teams, unlocking innovation and design strategy development, as well as general project and studio-based administration. He graduated from Loughborough University.
